Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What's iPhoneSlide for?
A: iPhoneSlide's a free service for users who want to instantly share their iPhone photos on Twitter, Flickr, Facebook, etc.
Q: How does it work?
A: Take a photo with your iPhone and email it to post@iphoneslide.com. Wait for the auto-response email, click on the confirmation link and select the services you want to upload to (Twitter, Facebook, Wordpress, Flickr). That's all!
Q: Exactly what is posted to Twitter,etc..?
A: The email subject, body and photo are posted as follows:

Q: Do I need to register to get started?
A: Nope. No registration. Just email your photo at post@iphoneslide.com
Q: What services do you currently support
A: Twitter, Flickr, Facebook, Wordpress, TypePad, Blogger, Picasa and LiveJournal.
Q: I don't see Facebook in the list of services. Where is it?
A: To upload to Facebook, click 'add services' at the bottom of the upload confirmation page. Then, click the Facebook icon and follow the steps. This is a one-time process and you'll be all set.
Q: I have emailed post@iphoneslide.com and CC'ed a few friends on one photo. If my friends 'reply all', will they get a confirmation email as well?
A: No, iPhoneSlide automatically discards post@iphoneslide.com emails with RE:, FW: or FWD: in the subject line.
Q: Wordpress is not working for me. Do you guys support Wordpress if not hosted at Wordpress.com?
A: Yes we do. The first time you get the confirmation email, be sure to enter your full blog url (no http:// required). As an example, if your blog redirects to www.justanotheriphoneblog.com/wordpress, make sure you are entering www.justanotheriphoneblog.com/wordpress.
Q: Posting to my Wordpress blog can take up to 20 seconds. Is it normal?
A: Yes. For older versions of Wordpress the upload can take some time because the upload response provided by Wordpress can be delayed. Blogs hosted on Wordpress.com are much faster however, and uploading should be very fast.
Q: How do I access the page with all my uploads?
A: The URL for this page is attached to the confirmation emails you receive when posting. Be sure to bookmark it.
